GENERAL LIABILITY AND EXCESS LIABILITY INSURANCE PLAN DESCRIPTIONS

Who is Covered?
The following are covered as named insureds under the Liability policies:
USA Field Hockey, all currently registered member players, coaches,
umpire/officials, volunteers, member clubs, trainers, Futures Program Trainers, and the directors and officers of USA Field Hockey.

Member clubs are defined as those groups where 100% of the participants are members of USA Field Hockey.

Covered Activities
Covered Activities are defined as:

1) Scheduled games, team practice sessions, partner camps and clinics, tournaments, or sponsored activities approved by USA Field Hockey.

2) Other supervised activities such as club or team meetings, banquets and usual, non-hazardous fundraisers are also covered. Examples of non-hazardous fundraisers are bake sales, car washes and other similar events. No coverage is provided for any event that includes fireworks

3) USA Field Hockey umpires are also protected by liability insurance while officiating in any and all field hockey activities. Member umpires are also covered in their duties as Assignors for field hockey activities. Coverage extends to USA Field Hockey sponsored games, clinics and tournaments, as well as other amateur field hockey play, such as NCAA, high school or other regularly scheduled games.

4) Hired/Non-owned auto liability coverage provides non-ownership liability (hired/non-owned auto liability) only while an automobile is being used in the official business of USA Field Hockey national office.

No liability coverage is provided to parents, coaches or volunteers while using any automobile to transport team members or volunteers to any practice, game or activity.
The hired/non-owned auto liability coverage for the USA Field Hockey national office is excess over the driver’s own automobile liability insurance and does not provide any coverage for physical damage or loss to the vehicle itself.

Therefore, Bollinger and USA Field Hockey strongly advise that member clubs or other members who are transporting participants make certain that the vehicle and the driver(s) are properly licensed and fully insured.
